QUETTA: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday said that previous rulers ruined the country as their children became billionaires.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of ‘Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme’ in Quetta he said that the basic goal of this scheme is to provide homes to the downtrodden sections of the society.
“We are bringing a new bill in the parliament which will ease down the process of loans from banks,” said Imran.
The Prime Minister said, “Housing is the basis of industry, I encourage youngsters to start their own businesses rather than looking for government jobs.”
“Today’s Pakistan has turned into a heaven for the elite class, such countries which have two systems cannot last long,” he added.
“Zardari and Nawaz looted nations drastically,” he further said.
“The accountability process will continue till the formation of a corruption free Pakistan,” he said.
“I will continue to expose the corruption by previous rulers during his tenure,” he concluded.
The Premier was accompanied by Balochistan’s Chief Minister Jam Kamal, Deputy Speaker of National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri, Housing Minister Tariq Cheema and other important personalities from civil and military leadership.
In the first phase, thousands of houses and flats will be constructed in Quetta and Gwadar.
Earlier, a delegation comprising members of the Hazara community met Prime Minister Imran Khan.
During his visit to the University, he met Hazara community’s delegation to pour in his deepest condolences on the loss of eight innocent lives in Hazarganji blast.
PM Khan prayed alongside the delegation for the killed members of the Shia minority and also expressed sympathized wholeheartedly with the bereaved families.
