ISLAMABAD: Taj Muhammad Afridi, a former senator affiliated with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), tragically lost his life in a vehicle collision on the Islamabad-Peshawar motorway. The accident occurred near the Kernal Sher Khan Interchange on Friday.
The incident happened while the senator was en route from Islamabad to Peshawar. His driver was injured in the crash and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
Initial investigations suggest that a mechanical failure in the vehicle led to the mishap. Upon receiving the distress call, Motorway Police swiftly responded to the scene, where they transported the deceased and the injured driver to the hospital for emergency treatment.
