Chaman: At least one man was killed and seven other people sustained injuries as a blast exploded at Mall Road area of Chaman on Friday, police said.
According to rescue officials, the explosive device was planted in a motorcycle. Several other bikes caught fire after the explosion.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and shifted the wounded to a nearby hospital.
Earlier today, at least 20 people were martyred and more than 30 sustained severe injuries after a bomb went off in a fruit market in Hazarganji of Quetta on Friday morning.
The martyred included nine civilians belonging to Hazara community whereas five personnel of Frontier Corps also sustained injuries, security sources said.
Moreover, the explosion took place when both fruit buyers and sellers were present in big number at the market, security source added.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has strongly condemned the blast that took place at a fruit market of Quetta’s Hazarganji and ordered an immediate inquiry into the matter.
The Premier has also sought an inquiry report into the incident which claimed 16 lives on Friday morning.
