D.I.KHAN: Security forces killed four suspected militants during an intelligence-led operation in Dera Ismail Khan district, according to security sources.
The sources said the group had been monitored before troops moved against them. Weapons, ammunition and Afghan currency were reportedly recovered from the site.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the forces and said counterterrorism operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would continue under the government’s Azm-e-Istehkam framework. He described the slain men as “Indian-sponsored terrorists”; that claim was not independently verified in the information provided.
Naqvi said the nation stood behind security forces in efforts to combat terrorism.
