RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s security forces have neutralised four militants backed by India during an intelligence-led operation in Balochistan’s Kalat district,
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), The military’s media wing stated that the operation was launched after receiving credible intelligence about the presence of militants linked to the Indian-sponsored group Fitna al-Hindustan. Security personnel successfully targeted the hideout during the operation.
A heavy exchange of fire ensued, resulting in the killing of four militants who were operating under Indian support. ISPR confirmed that a cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosive material was recovered from the site. The militants were reportedly involved in several acts of terrorism in the area.
ISPR added that a follow-up clearance operation is currently underway to ensure no remaining militants are present in the region. The statement reiterated that security forces, operating under the Azm-e-Istehkam campaign, remain determined to continue counterterrorism efforts until the threat of terrorism is fully eliminated.
Earlier, security forces also carried out a targeted intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Panjgur district against militants associated with the India-backed Fitna al Khwarij network. During that encounter, four militants were eliminated following a fierce gun battle.
