FAISALABAD: Four workers lost their lives after being exposed to hazardous gases while cleaning a sewer line in the Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC) area.
Initial reports indicate that the workers were engaged in routine sewer maintenance when they were suddenly overcome by toxic fumes inside the drainage system. Tragically, all four laborers succumbed to the gas exposure.
Rescue teams and local officials promptly responded to the emergency scene, retrieving the bodies and transporting them to a nearby mortuary for legal procedures and medical examination.
Officials confirmed that all four victims were residents of Lakki Marwat, a district in the northwestern region. Once post-mortem examinations and formalities are completed, the authorities will arrange to send the bodies back to Lakki Marwat for their funeral.
