Fourth Wave Of Coronavirus Continues Claiming Lives As 84 Died

LAHORE: Pakistan has reported 84 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,194,198. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 26,497 on Thursday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 4,062 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Till now 12,135 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 7,073 in Sindh 5,175 in KP, 879 in Islamabad, 714 in Azad Kashmir, 342 in Balochistan, and 179 in GB.

Furthermore 441,410 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 408,758 in Punjab 166,564 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 101,840 in Islamabad, 33,037 in Azad Kashmir, 32,480 in Balochistan and 10,109 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Pakistan has so far conducted 18,286,469 coronavirus tests and 63,161 in the last 24 hours. 1,076,112 patients have recovered in the country whereas 5,383 patients are in critical condition.
