Karachi: One child killed on Friday as compressor of fridge exploded in a house in Jacob lines near Thanvi Mosque.
One person also sustained injuries in the compressor blast.
Rescue volunteers shifted the body and injured to a hospital after reaching the spot.
Sources said that the compressor blast occurred due to electricity short-circuit at about 4 am.
The 13-year-old deceased boy, identified as Muhammad, was at his grandmother’s house to attend a wedding ceremony.
Soon after the blast, a huge fire erupted which engulfed the entire house in which one person was seriously injured.
A police team rushed to the house after receiving the report of the fire incident. SHO further said that a woman who was inside the house at the time of blast was also received injuries.
