Fuel will not be brought into Gaza:  Israeli army

An Israeli army spokesman on Saturday said that fuel will not be brought into the Gaza Strip as part of instructions from the Israeli political leadership

Israel stopped the entry of fuel into the Gaza Strip on , amid warnings from the UN and international human rights groups.In a statement, the Israeli army spokesman, claimed: “The humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip is under control.”

Now, the enclave is without power, pushed into a complete energy blackout after Gaza’s sole power plant will run out of fuel on Wednesday, affecting essential services including hospitals.

However, the Palestinian Health Minister Mai al-Kaila announced that “the fuel stock to operate the generators in the Gaza Strip hospitals will end tomorrow, , which will exacerbate the disastrous conditions in the hospitals.”
