KARACHI: Blast in the tank of an old scrapped ship at Gate No. 54 of Gadani Shipyard here has killed seven people and burned 48 laborers. Fire erupted after the deadly blast.
The death toll is feared to rise. Sources said that injured persons are being shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi as well as to Hub near Karachi while fire brigade and ambulances are being called from Karachi for the rescue operation.
The fire that erupted in the oil tank continues raging still with explosions being heard every now and then.
