ISLAMABAD: On Wednesday, the German Ambassador to Pakistan, accompanied by a delegation, paid a courtesy call on Maulana Fazlur Rehman, leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), at his residence.
The discussion centered on regional political developments, including Afghanistan’s situation, law and order issues, human rights concerns, and the bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Germany.
The German representatives were briefed on JUI-F’s stance on various regional matters and expressed appreciation for the party’s efforts toward peace, constitutional adherence, and human rights advocacy.
Maulana Fazl shared insights on the human rights conditions in Afghanistan and Palestine, prompting the delegation to show keen interest in supporting initiatives aimed at resolving issues in these areas.
The delegation comprised Violetta Kuzmova-Anand, First Secretary for Migration, Human Rights, and Rule of Law, along with Anna Emmanuel from the Communication and Political Section.
Senior politicians including Senator Kamran Murtaza, Engineer Ziaur Rehman, and Mufti Abrar were also present during the meeting.
