LAHORE: The newly-appointed Lahore Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ghulam Muhammad Dogar assumed the charge of his office on Saturday.
A smartly turned out contingent of police presented the guard of honour.
On Friday, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar had removed CCPO Umar Sheikh and appointed Ghulam Muhammad Dogar in his place.
Dogar had earlier served as Lahore DIG Investigations and Chief Traffic Officer. He also served as Multan CPO.
Umar Sheikh has been appointed Punjab Constabulary Deputy Commandant.
