GILGIT: Newly elected Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Amjad Hussain Advocate will take the oath of office on July 6 during a ceremony at the Chief Minister Secretariat in Gilgit.
According to official sources, the swearing-in ceremony will be attended by senior government officials, political leaders and other invited guests. Preparations are in full swing, while invitation cards for the event have already been distributed.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is also expected to attend the ceremony, highlighting the importance of the occasion for the party.
Amjad Hussain Advocate was elected chief minister unopposed on June 22, becoming the new leader of the Gilgit-Baltistan government without facing any challenger.
