LAHORE: Spokesperson of Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Shahbaz Gill on Friday reacting over the statement of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Information Secretary Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was imprisoned over the charges of corruption.
Commenting over the statement of Marriyum Aurangzeb over not allowing Maryam Nawaz to meet her father in jail on the last day of Eid-ul-Fitr Gill said the family members of Nawaz can meet him in jail on Saturday.
“The Kotlakhpat jail authorities have confirmed that family members of Nawaz Sharif will be allowed to meet him on Saturday,” he added.
He further said that PML-N is politicizing Nawaz’s health issue, adding the health of former premier is fine and he is doing well.
“The only issue PML-N have to do politics is Nawaz health,” said Gill.
“Nawaz Sharif met with family members and over 225 party workers before Eid-ul-Fitr,” he concluded.
Earlier in the day, spokesperson of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Marriyum Aurangzeb on Friday said that the injustice of the rulers can never prevail.
As per details, the spokesperson of PML-N Marriyum Aurangzeb strongly condemned that act of the federal government to impose restrictions on the meeting of Maryam Nawaz with her father on the last day of Eid-ul-Fitr.
In a statement, she said that Imran’s Eid might have completed as the Maryam and the other members of Nawaz’s were unable to see her incarcerated PML-N supremo in jail.
Marriyum also said that such revenge tactics won’t hide your incompetence and it will not bring down inflation or will speed up development in the country.
The PML-N spokesperson said that Imran is taking revenge of his incompetence from Nawaz as the latter completed developments projects of billions and the former is failed to prove any corruption against him.
