Giving Threat To Woman Judge Case: Court Suspends Imran Arrests Warrants


Islamabad: A local court of Islamabad on Tuesday suspended Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan non-bailable arrest warrants issued into the giving threat to woman judge case.

Chairman PTI challenged the civil judge verdict in the session court of Islamabad, however, session judge Tahir Mahmood was on leave owing to which the decision was challenged in the duty judge Sikandar Khan.

The duty judge Sikandar Khan marked the challenging petition in the court of additional session judge Faizan Hyder Gillani. Faizan Hyder Gillani heard the petition.

The PTI chief counsels contended that the most of the sections levelled against Imran Khan are bailable, to which, the judge questioned that did his bailable arrest warrants issue earlier?

Imran Khan counsel responded that no bailable arrest warrants issued earlier in the giving threats to woman judge.

The counsel insisted that March 21 date be given adding that there is a petition under hearing in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) regarding permission to allow his client to appear through a video link.

To which, the judge said that don’t you know what happens in the video link then the court asked to Imran Khan counsels to submit documents in the court pertaining to withdrawal of security from Imran Khan and suspended the Imran khan’s arrest warrants.

The court stopping the police to arrest the PTI chief Imran Khan till March 16 issued notices to respondents and adjourned the hearing till March 16.
