Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced countermeasures against the American tariffs, while Australia deemed the U.S. retaliatory tariffs unnecessary.
In this regard, the Italian Prime Minister stated that the U.S. tariffs on the European Union are misguided, while the Prime Minister of Ireland emphasized that the EU should respond appropriately to the U.S. tariffs.
Additionally, China labeled the U.S. tariffs as a threat to global economic development, demanding that the U.S. immediately rescind the new tariffs. The Chinese Ministry of Commerce stated that these new tariffs would damage U.S. interests and the global supply chain. The U.S. should resolve its differences through proper channels with trading partners, while the British Minister of Trade expressed commitment to pursuing economic agreements with the U.S. despite the tariffs.
