Karachi: Gold prices have reached new unprecedented levels as the upward surge shows no signs of slowing down.
In the international bullion market on Wednesday, gold prices per ounce climbed steeply by $58, setting a fresh record of $4,198.
This global trend had a noticeable impact on local markets, where the price of 24-karat gold jumped by Rs5,800 per tola, hitting an all-time high of Rs440,900.
Likewise, the cost of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs4,972, reaching a historic high of Rs378,000 in the local market.
