KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a sharp decline on Thursday, with the per-tola rate dropping by Rs5,600 to reach Rs448,336
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. The value of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also fell by Rs4,801, now priced at Rs384,375. Similarly, the cost of 10 grams of 22-karat gold decreased by Rs4,401, bringing it to Rs352,336.
Internationally, gold prices slipped by $56, with the per-ounce rate now standing at $4,258, the association reported. Silver prices also saw a decrease; the per tola rate declined by Rs171 to Rs6,837, and the 10-gram silver price dropped by Rs147 to Rs5,861.
On the global stage, silver per ounce fell by $1.71, settling at $63.59, according to the association’s data.
