KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a decline for the second straight day on Wednesday, influenced by shifts in international market trends.
As reported by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs1,000 per tola, settling at Rs419,362.
In the domestic market, the rate for 10 grams of 24-karat gold decreased by Rs857, reaching Rs359,535. Likewise, 10 grams of 22-karat gold were sold for Rs329,585, marking a reduction of Rs678 from the previous day.
Globally, gold prices fell by $10, lowering to $3,970 per ounce. This consistent decline is attributed to strengthening global currencies and a cautious approach by investors.
Meanwhile, silver rates remained steady from the prior session. The price of 24-karat silver per tola stood at Rs5,022, with 10 grams priced at Rs4,305.
