KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a significant drop on Tuesday, mirroring a decline in the international markets.
As per the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold fell by Rs3,500 per tola, settling at Rs420,362.
Similarly, the price for 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs3,001, now priced at Rs360,392.
On the global front, gold slipped below the $4,000-per-ounce threshold as the US dollar remained strong near a three-month high.
This drop comes after a rise in gold prices on Monday, when the rate per tola increased by Rs1,300, reaching Rs423,862. Meanwhile, the 10-gram rate also went up by Rs1,115 to stand at Rs363,393.
