Gold price in Pakistan sees another massive increase

KARACHI: Gold and silver prices experienced a significant upswing in local markets on Monday, mirroring a sharp rise in global bullion rates, as reported by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

The price of 24-carat gold surged by Rs5,300 per tola, bringing it to Rs524,762 in the domestic market. Similarly, 10 grams of 24-carat gold saw an increase of Rs4,544, settling at Rs449,898.

On the international front, gold prices surpassed the $5,000 mark, registering a $53 per ounce hike that pushed the global rate to $5,020. This spike underscores consistent strong demand worldwide. Local gold prices remained aligned with trends in the international market, with Monday’s rise attributed to this global bullion surge.

Silver prices also saw notable growth, with a gain of Rs346 per tola, reaching Rs8,615. For 10 grams of silver, the price rose by Rs296, closing at Rs7,385 in the local market.
