KARACHI: The ongoing global tariff war has driven gold prices to new historic highs.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold in the country has increased by Rs.7,800 per tola, reaching Rs.328,800 per tola today.

The Association also reported that the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs.6,688, now standing at Rs.281,893.

Meanwhile, in the international market, the price of gold has also surged by $78, reaching $3,118 per ounce.

Experts expressed that due to the ongoing tariff war between the United States and China, investors are turning to gold as a safe haven for their capital.
