KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a sharp increase on Friday, with the rate of per tola gold rising significantly in line with gains in the international bullion market.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold surged by Rs7,800 per tola, taking the new rate to Rs496,762.
The association also stated that the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs6,687, reaching Rs425,893 in the local market.
Meanwhile, in the global market, gold prices climbed by $78 per ounce, pushing the international rate to $4,744 per ounce.
