KARACHI: Gold prices experienced a significant decline on Tuesday in both international and domestic markets.
In the local market, the rate of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs 1,900, settling at Rs 441,862. Likewise, the price for 10 grams of gold saw a decrease of Rs 1,629, bringing it to Rs 378,825.
In the global bullion market, the price of gold per ounce dropped by $19, bringing it down to $4,195. This downward trend in the international market also influenced gold prices in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, silver prices remained stable in local markets. The cost of one tola of silver held steady at Rs 6,102, while the rate for 10 grams stayed unchanged at Rs 5,231.
Traders anticipate further changes in gold prices, driven by trends in the global markets, currency exchange movements, and local consumer demand.
