Gold prices drop sharply after a consistent six-day upward trend

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant decline as rates dropped by Rs 5,500 per tola after a consistent six-day upward trend. On Monday, the international bullion market recorded a decrease in gold prices, with the per-ounce rate falling by $55 to $4,478.

This global downturn also impacted local markets, where the price of 24-carat gold per tola reduced to Rs 470,162. Likewise, the cost of 10 grams of gold experienced a decline of Rs 4,715, bringing it down to Rs 403,088.

Silver prices followed a similar trend, with the per tola rate dropping by Rs 332 to Rs 8,075. The price for 10 grams of silver also decreased by Rs 284, settling at Rs 6,923.
