KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan fell significantly on Wednesday, tracking a decline in international bullion rates amid persistent geopolitical uncertainty.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs3,700 per tola to Rs458,236.
The price of 24-karat gold per 10 grams also decreased by Rs3,172, settling at Rs392,862.
In the international market, gold lost $37 per ounce, falling to $4,358, according to the association.
Silver also becomes cheaper
Silver prices followed the downward trend in the local market, with the price declining by Rs186 per tola to Rs6,800.
