Gold prices hit all-time high in Pakistan

KARACHI: The price of gold in Pakistan and worldwide saw a significant surge on Monday, setting a new record high for the precious metal.

As reported by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the rate of 24-karat gold rose sharply by Rs7,500 per tola, reaching Rs489,362, driven by a rise in global prices amid consistent investor interest.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs6,431, reaching Rs419,549, according to the APSGJA.

Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold went up by Rs5,895, hitting Rs384,600.

In the international market, gold witnessed a $75 per ounce increase, closing at $4,670. This reflects ongoing global demand for precious metals amid economic uncertainties and fluctuating currency dynamics.

Silver also experienced an upward trend, with the price per tola of 24-karat silver rising by Rs300 to reach Rs9,782, while the price for 10 grams of 24-karat silver jumped by Rs257 to settle at Rs8,386.
