KARACHI: Gold prices experienced a notable increase on Monday in both global and Pakistani markets, reversing a slight decline from the previous session.
The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) reported that 24-karat gold saw a rise of Rs2,600 per tola, reaching Rs454,862, driven by steady investor demand as global rates climbed.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs2,229, standing at Rs389,970. The price for 10 grams of 22-karat gold also went up by Rs2,043, settling at Rs357,485.
In the international market, gold prices jumped by $26 per ounce to close at $4,325. This increase signals consistent global interest in precious metals amid ongoing economic uncertainty and fluctuating currency trends.
Silver mirrored this upward movement, with the price of 24-karat silver per tola rising by Rs68 to Rs6,532. Additionally, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat silver increased by Rs59, reaching Rs5,600.
