Gold prices in Pakistan are on the rise once again

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan saw an upward movement on Wednesday, reflecting a similar trend in international markets. Data from the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) revealed that gold prices increased by Rs 1,200 per tola, pushing the rate to Rs 443,062.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs 1,029, reaching Rs 379,854. This recovery comes after Tuesday’s trading session, during which gold experienced a decline of Rs 1,900 per tola, closing at Rs 441,862.

Globally, gold prices climbed by $12 to $4,207 per ounce, including a $20 premium, as investors looked for further insights from US Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell regarding market direction.

Silver prices also experienced notable gains in the local market, increasing by Rs 265 per tola to reach Rs 6,367.

On the global stage, silver extended its impressive rally, with spot prices rising 0.6 percent to $61.06 per ounce. Earlier in the session, it achieved a record high of $61.46 per ounce.
