KARACHI: Gold prices experienced another surge on Wednesday in both global and Pakistani markets after a brief decline during the previous session.
As reported by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-karat gold rose sharply by Rs2,700 per tola, reaching Rs453,562, driven by steady investor demand in international markets.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs2,315, bringing it to Rs388,856, according to the APSGJA.
In the case of 22-karat gold, the price for 10 grams climbed by Rs2,122, settling at Rs356,464.
On the global front, gold prices gained $27 per ounce to close at $4,312. This upward trend reflects ongoing global interest in precious metals amidst economic uncertainty and fluctuating currency movements.
Silver also mirrored this trend, with the price of 24-karat silver rising by Rs290 per tola to reach Rs6,822. The rate for 10 grams of 24-karat silver increased by Rs248, now priced at Rs5,848.
