KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a notable drop on Monday as the 24-karat gold rate fell by Rs3,300 per tola. This decline aligns with a global decrease in bullion prices and a strengthening rupee in interbank trading.
The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) reported that the 24-karat gold rate now stands at Rs430,362 per tola, marking a sharp reduction from the previous session.
Similarly, 10 grams of 24-karat gold were priced at Rs368,966, down by Rs2,829, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold reached Rs338,231, showing a decrease of Rs2,593.
On the global stage, gold prices saw a downward shift too. The international rate of gold settled at $4,080 per ounce, reflecting a reduction of $33.
The silver market followed a similar trend. The 24-karat silver price declined by Rs27 per tola, settling at Rs5,097, whereas 10 grams of silver dropped to Rs4,369, falling by Rs24.
Globally, silver was traded at $48.35 per ounce, recording a slight dip of $0.27.
