Gold prices see slight decline in Pakistan

KARACHI: Gold and silver prices experienced a decline on Thursday, slipping below the peaks reached just a day earlier in both global and local markets.

In Pakistan, the price of 24-karat gold per tola decreased by Rs800, bringing it to Rs505,562, as reported by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. Similarly, 10 grams of 24-karat gold saw a drop of Rs686, settling at Rs433,437, while the price for 10 grams of 22-karat gold fell by Rs629 to Rs397,331.

The downward trend extended to international markets as well. In the global bullion market, gold prices dipped by $8 to reach $4,832 per ounce.

Silver prices mirrored this pattern domestically. The cost of 24-karat silver per tola fell by Rs30 to Rs9,903, with 10 grams of silver decreasing by Rs25 to Rs8,490.
