Gold prices slide Rs3,800 per tola in Pakistan

KARACHI: Gold prices dropped sharply in Pakistan on Monday, with the rate of 24-karat gold declining by Rs3,800 per tola to Rs453,336, according to data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

The price of 24-karat gold also fell by Rs3,258 per 10 grams, bringing the rate down to Rs388,662.

Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold was priced at Rs356,286 after losing Rs2,987, the association said.

The decline in local bullion prices followed a drop in international gold rates. Gold fell $38 to $4,308 per ounce in the global market.

Silver prices also moved lower, with the per-tola rate decreasing by Rs122 to Rs6,802.

The price of 10 grams of silver declined by Rs105, settling at Rs5,831.
