KARACHI: Gold continued its downward spiral on Saturday, shedding Rs25,500 per tola to settle at Rs511,862, according to data released by the Sarafa Association.
The latest fall takes the total decline over the past two days to Rs61,000. On Friday alone, gold prices had already dropped by Rs35,500, reflecting a steep correction in the local bullion market.
In the international market, gold also witnessed heavy selling pressure, with prices tumbling by $255 per ounce to trade at $4,895.
Silver mirrored the bearish trend, as its per tola price fell by Rs2,063 to Rs9,006, marking a sharp setback for the white metal as well.
