KARACHI: Gold prices experienced a notable increase on Monday in both international and Pakistani markets, continuing the upward momentum from the previous session.
As reported by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs2,700 per tola, reaching Rs446,862, driven by steady investor demand and global market trends.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold jumped by Rs2,315, settling at Rs383,112, while 22-karat gold for 10 grams saw an increase of Rs2,122 to reach Rs351,198.
In global markets, gold prices climbed by $27 per ounce, closing at $4,245. This rise underscores the persistent global interest in precious metals amidst economic instability and fluctuating currency dynamics.
Silver also witnessed a price hike, with the rate for a tola of 24-karat silver increasing by Rs54 to reach Rs5,963. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 24-karat silver went up by Rs46, selling for Rs5,112.
