KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a significant increase on Monday, aligning with upward trends observed in the international market. The rate of gold per tola surged by Rs 1,600, settling at Rs 443,762 in local trading.
Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold climbed by Rs 1,372, closing at Rs 380,454, as reported by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
This rise comes as a surprise since the previous session on Saturday saw gold prices plummet sharply, with gold per tola dropping by Rs 2,300 to Rs 442,162.
Globally, gold witnessed an increase of $16, reaching $4,214 per ounce alongside an additional premium of $20. Silver also showed gains, increasing by Rs 30 to Rs 6,102 per tola.
