KARACHI: Gold prices recorded a sharp increase in Pakistan on Friday, with the rate of 24-karat gold climbing by Rs4,700 per tola to reach Rs453,036,
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
The price of 24-karat gold per 10 grams also increased by Rs4,029, reaching Rs388,404.
Meanwhile, 22-karat gold gained Rs3,694 per 10 grams to settle at Rs356,050.
In the international market, gold prices rose by $47, reaching $4,305 per ounce, the association said.
Silver also followed an upward trend in the local market. Its per-tola price increased by Rs126 to Rs6,963, while the rate for 10 grams rose by Rs108 to Rs5,969.
Internationally, silver prices gained $1.26 to stand at $64.85 per ounce, according to the association.
