KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a slight uptick on Saturday after a streak of five days of decline.
The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) reported that the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs1,800, bringing it to Rs433,662 in the local market. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs1,543 to settle at Rs371,795, while the rate for 10 grams of 22-karat gold went up by Rs1,414, reaching Rs340,824.
On the international stage, gold prices saw a rise of $18, reaching $4,113 per ounce. This global increase is largely attributed to renewed investor interest amidst prevailing economic uncertainties and fluctuations in currency values.
Silver prices in Pakistan also followed a similar trend. The price of 24-karat silver per tola climbed by Rs57 to reach Rs5,124, with 10 grams of silver priced at Rs4,393.
