WEB DESK: Google will add an AI mode to its search engine and it seemed like an exciting new AI mode in its search engine.
According to a report, Google is internally testing this new AI mode in its search engine. The report mentions that an internal email from the company revealed that employees were invited to try out this AI mode in Google Search.
A screenshot shared in the report suggests that this new tool is a supercharged version of the existing AI Overview feature in Google Search, which now includes the Gemini chatbot interface. It appears that Google is continuing its effort to integrate Gemini and AI features into all of its services.
Gemini is already being used in TV sets, Android, Google Search, Google Workspace, and autonomous apps. Recently, Google officially introduced Gemini 2.0 for users. The report hints that the new AI mode in Google Search will appear as a tab alongside News, Images, Shopping, and other categories.
Although not much is known about this AI mode yet, the screenshot suggests that under this feature, users may receive detailed answers to their questions.
