Islamabad: The government has agreed to giving chairmanship of Public Accounts Committee to the Sunni Itehad Council (SIC).
The government out of three names one name will be finalized.
A formula of forming standing committees between the opposition and the government has been brokered.
Sources said that the Opposition Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will get nine standing committees whereas the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N
) will acquire 12 standing committees.
Similarly the Pakistan People’s Party will share seven standing committees, the Muttahida Quami Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) will get two.
Moreover, Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q), the Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F), the Baluchistan Awami Party (BAP) will get one seat each.
