Islamabad: Talks between Jamat-e-Islami (JI) and the government will be held today.
The JI has staged a sit-in against heavy bills of electricity, burden of taxes on the masses while today is the third day of the protest.
Federal Minister for Information Atta Tarrar and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry had visited the sit-in venue and presented a negotiation offer to the JI leadership.
The Ameer Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman had accepted the the talks offer but he categorically refused the government to end the sit-in.
The JI leadership also placed its a 10 demands to the government.
Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman has demanded the government to release all its workers arrested during their travel to Islamabad from Punjab.
He said that no talks will be held until release of its workers.
