Islamabad:The federal government is still undecided on the reopening of private educational institutions from January 11 as Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood told to make the final decision on January 4.
A meeting was held between Shafqat Mahmood and representatives of the private educational institutions.
The minister said that the decision will be made on January 4 after the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC) and the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) meeting.
Shafqat Mahmood stressed that the educational institutions cannot be opened without taking briefing from the health ministry.
The government has to ensure the health safety of students, teachers and other staff members, he said while adding that the authorities are aware of the difficulties of the private educational institutions and they are being given relief packages.
