Islamabad: The interim government has taken a major decision to provide a big relief to the masses as Rs 40 decreased on petrol, and Rs 15 on high-speed diesel per litre.
Besides, the government also reduced light diesel oil by Rs 19 per litre.
The caretaker set-up also decreased prices of Kerosene oil by Rs 22 per litre while the new price of Kerosine oil is Rs 214.85 per litre.
The Ministry of Finance has issued a notification in this regard.

The new price of petrol per litre is Rs 283.38 while the new price of high-speed diesel is Rs 303. 18.
It said that the government has revised the consumer prices of petroleum products in the wake of variations in international prices of the commodity and improvement in the exchange rate.
The new prices will come into effect from 12 a.m. (tonight, October 16) and remain in place till October 31.
Earlier, The government in the first fortnight of October decreased petrol prices by Rs 8 per litre.
The caretaker government on September 16 pushed through a hike in the prices of petrol by Rs 26.02 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs17.34 per litre.
On Sept 1, the interim government raised fuel prices by up to Rs18 per litre. That jump in petroleum prices had come after similar hikes by the interim government on Aug 15.
