Islamabad: The government on Friday decided to approach Supreme Court Of Pakistan (SC) for interpretation of article 63 (A).
In his statement, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting said that a reference will be filed in the top court for the interpretation of article 63 (A) and the opinion of the court will be sought over changing loyalties and horse trading.
Elaborating further, the minister said that the court opinion will be sought that if members of a party involve in horse trading and change their loyalties for sake of money so what will be status of their votes.?
Adding further he said, Will these members, who changed their loyalties on economic interest, disqualify for life time or they will be allowed to compete election once again?
The SC will be requested to hear the reference on daily basis and announce the verdict.
