Islamabad: The government has decided principally to form a commission over a letter of six judges of the Islamabad High Court hurling accusations of interfering in the court matters.
Addressing a presser Federal Minister for Law Azam Nazeer Tarar along with Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan after meeting with Chief Justice (CJ) Qazi Faiz Isa with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the Law Minister apprised that the government thinks that the letter penned by the six judges of the IHC is the serious issue and needed to be an inquiry on the accusations of the judges.
The PM ensured the CJ no interference in the court matters by any institutions should not be conducted, the law minister apprised.
The PM said that there will be no compromise on the independence of the judiciary, the Minister informed. He also apprised that the premier will take up the matter in the federal cabinet meeting as well on Friday.
The Law Minister said that there was so much hue and cry over the judges letter in the social as well as media.
He informed that the meeting between the CJ and PM lasted for one and half hour.
