Govt decides to impose carbon, Petroleum levy on Furnace oil

Islamabad: The government has decided to impose cabon and petroleum levy on furnace oil.

On per litre of Petrol, High Speed Diesel, Furnace Oil, Rs 25 carbon levy will be charged.

As per the budget document the carbon levy rate to be increased to Rs 5 per litre in the 2026-2027 budget.

As per the budget document, the commodities will be confiscated if it has no tax stamp or bar code .

On the implementation of tax laws help will be sought from provincial officers .

On the other hand, smuggling of non-duty paid cigerrates will be overcome, as per the budget document.

The government has decided to intorduce customs reforms in the new budget while the government has decided to impose surcharge of 10 percent for the payment of circular debts.

Govt to impose 10 percent surcharge to pay cirucular debt

The government has announced vital measures for implementing energy vehicle policy .As per the budget document, electric vehicles will be preferred over petrol and diesel cars.
Whereas, electric motorcycles and rickshaws will be promoted, budget document.

As per the budget document, there is suggestion to impose levy on petrol and diesel vechicles. While levy will be imposed depending on sell and import of vehicles using oil thier engine capacity.
