Islamabad: The Pakistan Muslim League N (PML-N) led coalition government has decided to impose ban on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), said Federal Minister for Information Atta Tarrar.
Addressing a presser in the Pakistan Information Department (PID) Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting said that keeping in mind all the facts regarding the PTI, the government file petition against the PTI.
The federal Information Minister said that a big game has happened with the country and we wanted to say no more.
If country has to move forward then PTI and the country can’t go together, the minister said.
Atta Tarrar said that a case of treason will be filed against the PTI founding chairman Imran Khan, former president Dr Arif Alvi and former deputy speaker National Assembly, Qasim Suri.
He apprised that after an approval of the cabinet article 6 reference will be sent to the Supreme Court (SC).
The government is striving for political and economic stability while efforts are made to create chaos like situation in the country, he said.
He also hinted at to file review petition to be filed in the special seats case.
He said that the government has taken decision after consultation with the allied parties.
Atta Tarrar said that there are ample evidences that a ban be imposed on the PTI.
He said that we also have evidences that the PTI has taken prohibited funding adding that the verdict came against the foreign funding case.
He asked that why did the PTI continue to take stay order for six years.?
The Minister said that we respect every country but lobbies in a few countries have funded it.
He said that the PTI attacked the country interests on May 9 adding whole of Imran Khan family was involved in it.
He said that on May 9 his niece was burning the army uniforms
Attar Tarrar said that Imran Khan encouraged the politics of chaos while he also alleged the former premier that he had brought Taliban in the country before arson and vandalism.
On one side he was giving shelter to terrorists and on the other you attacked the corps commander house and General Headquarter (GHQ).
He questioned that who has given authority to you to settle Taliban in Pakistan?
He also alleged that Imran Khan stopped the National Action Plan.
We have enough evidences to ban the PTI, Tarrar said.
