Islamabad: The federal government has decided to close the Utility Stores Corporation (USC) while he has sought suggestions within two weeks.
Sources said that it is feard that as many as 11 thousands employees of USC will become jobless.
Sources said tha the USC administration has been directed to settle their financial matters with as early as possible.
The government has already ended subsidiary on goods available in the USC stores. While a suggestion has been given to provide money to Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) consumers of the USC.
With the stoppage of the subsidiary feared that 26 million deserving families will be effected while USC were providing subsidiary to people having less than Rs 40000 salaries per month.
On the other hand USC union has expressed strong reaction over the closure of the USC.
Whereas all three big unions have given shutter down strike call on August 26 while they also announced sit-in at the D-cholk in Islamabad.
After the government decision further subsidiaries have been shut on flour, ghee, rice, sugar and pulses.
