Karachi: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will release a special Rs 55 commemorative coin to celebrate the 555th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Federal government has issued the coin while this unique coin pays homage to the Sikh faith’s revered founder.
The Rs 55 coin, consisting of 79% brass, 20% zinc, and 1% nickel, measures 30 mm in diameter and weighs 13.5 grams. The coin’s obverse side bears a crescent moon and five-pointed star in the centre, positioned towards the northwest.
This commemorative coin is available at exchange counters across all State Bank of Pakistan Banking Services Corporation field offices from November 22, 2024.
