Islamabad: The government kept on burdening masses regarding electricity bills, has imposed fixed charges on the residential consumers up to Rs 1000.
The fixed charges will be applicable from July 1st.
Residential consumers using 300 to 400 units will pay fixed charges of Rs 200. While the residential consumers will pay fixed charges Rs 400 over using 401 to 500 units.
Similarly residential consumers for using 501 to 600 units will pay Rs 600 as a fixed charges. Whereas fixed charge of Rs 800 will be imposed on the residential consumers using 601 to 700 units monthly.
Moreover the residential consumers using more than 700 units will bound to pay fixed charges of Rs 1000.
The NEPRA has also approved increasing monthly fixed charges by 184 percent for industrial consumers.
The fixed charges for the industrial consumers will hike from Rs 440 to 1250. While for commercial consumers fixed charges will have an uptick of Rs 1250 from Rs 500.
The NEPRA has also approved an uptick of 100 percent for the consumers using agriculture tube wells whereas the fixed charges will be increased to Rs 400 from Rs 200.
